Henk Weyzig is a Dutch painter born in 1902 in Bandung an university town in the at that time Dutch East Indies. He was interned in a Japanese prisoner\'s camp (Camp Changi and/or Camp Tjimahi) during World War II. At the time of the Indonesian independence he moved to the Netherlands where he continued painting. Several works by the artist have been sold at auctions, including \'Tongkangs on the Assahan at Tandjong Balei\' sold at Christie\'s Amsterdam \'Indonesian Art\' in 2006. Henk Weyzig is represented in the collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam.
