Very rare original cheech wizard cartoon drawing made and signed by vaughn bode. This is a rarity. Some staines. It was not dated by bode.
Expert daryl cox slightly restored the item in 1978. It was then sold for to a collector who sold it to me. The provenance is attached to the back.
Vaughn bode (/bode/; july 22, 1941 july 18, 1975) was an underground cartoonist and illustrator known for his character cheech wizard and his artwork depicting voluptuous women.
A contemporary of ralph bakshi, bod has been credited as an influence on bakshi;s animated films wizards and the lord of the rings. Bode has a huge following among graffiti artists, with his characters remaining a popular subject.
Bode was inducted into the will eisner award hall of fame for comics artists in 2006 background i do not sell copies or prints of any kind. I have been a collector of memorabilia and signed items for many years now and have my own online store ducoso the dutch collectors society here in the netherlands.
